We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Training Services Team Leader at Jandakot, on a Maximum Term 12-Month basis.
About this role
As the Training Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team accountable for providing effective and efficient support services for Western Power’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Power Training Services (PTS) to ensure that all administrative processes and systems meet legislative, commercial, enterprise and RTO requirements.
- Lead and support the development and implementation of a service delivery model to ensure that workforce skill, competency and capability is enhanced in a commercial, effective and efficient manner to ensure the workforce needed to deliver on corporate objectives.
- Develop and maintain PTS systems and processes, including LMS, to meet the compliance requirements for maintaining RTO status, and Western Power’s governance frameworks.
- Oversee the development of a plan to validate the standard of PTS training and assessment activities against AQF standards requirements and make recommendations for improvement as and when required.
- Support the Training Delivery team to measure the effectiveness of training investments through quality and timely reporting and thorough data analysis.
- Develop and manage efficient and effective financial, contract and data management systems and processes to provide accurate and timely reporting data to the SEQT leadership team.
- Manage and maintain the training facilities and training operation including implementation of safe working practices of all PTS employees and effective management of assets and equipment.
- Manage and monitor the utilisation of assigned budgets, resources and external third part providers in consideration of affordable outcomes for our customers.
- Develop and manage relationships with key internal SEQT stakeholders to enable the delivery of safe outcomes.
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in Accounts, Business, Finance, Human Resources or related discipline
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills and experience working with best practice strategic frameworks and processes.
- Previous leadership experience with multi-disciplined teams, ensuring efficient and effective utilisation of resources with sound people, financial and compliance management skills.
- Sound experience in internal/external stakeholder management with the ability to influence and negotiate technical outcomes that are clear, documented and aligned to business needs.
- Interaction with others requires understanding, influencing and supporting people, through applying technical knowledge or rational arguments.
- Strong communications skills both verbal and written.
